When the summer is going to finish and the first fresh air of the nights of August begin to be announced, the colors skirt commotion, the clatter of the castanets and the music of bandurrias and guitars says us that our group `Despertar el Ayer´, is arriving to bring to our memory the nostalgia of the culture that ours ancestor left us and that constitutes the soul of our lands of la Mancha.
The Folk International Festival coincides with the festivity of Cristo del Consuelo, which is seen enriched with the presence of the different national and international groups that have been acting since their beginnings, to whom we thank their participation and we give always the best welcome.
For Villanueva, this act meets the peculiar conditions of the land: its people, its festivities, its traditions, its popular folk... and at the end, its culture.
